A Little About Me

This year, I am starting my sixth year at Fairmont SD 89.  In those six years, I have held a range of positions.  I have been a 5th grade teacher, middle school math teacher, Math Specialist, Dean of Students, and this year Assistant Principal.

I completed my Bachelors degree in education from Eastern Illinois University in 1995.  Since then I have completed three masters degrees.  Those degrees are in Educational Management, Business Administration, and Human Resources.

As an educator, I believe that there is a strong connection between home and school. We are all responsible for each child's education.

Attendance

For each day that a student is not in school they are not learning.  Attendance is critical to your child's success in school.  Fairmont SD 89 is required to follow Illinois School Code when it comes to compulsory attendance laws.  If your child is going to be absent from school, parents must call the school office to report the absence.

Discipline

Please see the Parent/Student handbook for more information on student discipline.
