E-Learning

Purpose of Emergency E-Learning Day Plan

The purpose of an Emergency E-Learning Day is to provide a continuum of learning for all students. Teachers will leverage the district’s one-to-one resources to provide students with relevant, meaningful, and manageable work that students can complete when school has been canceled. In most instances, students and staff will be notified of a possible E-Learning Day the day before it occurs. This will allow for adequate staff planning and allow for student computers to go home. E-Learning Days will only be used in the event of an emergency.

E-Learning Communication

Fairmont School District #89 will communicate with you using the following methods when an E-Learning Day goes into effect.  Cancellations will be announced via phone, email, and school website indicating that there will be an E-Learning Day.

o    School Website

o    Thrillshare All-Call System with Text, Phone call, and Email Notifications

o    News Media Notifications
